We are very proud to have with us fourth generation wine farmer Jeanette Bruwer, hosting our next wine dinner on 20th March.
Jeanette’s family are ninth generation descendants of the Bruères, French Huguenots who came to South Africa from the Loire in 1688 with bundles of vines under their arms, Jeanette and her brother Abrie share a deep rooted respect for Nature and her gifts.
The wines from Springfield Estate are known for their authentic expression of the unique terroir from which they grow. And for the Bruwer family, time and time-honoured practices distinguish their approach to winemaking.
When Jeanette is not hosting visitors or visiting clients and attending wine events abroad, she is involved in every aspect of the production process, from driving a forklift to preparing the soil for new plantings. This reflects in her knowledge of the entire cycle and the care with which she represents the estate. As a family-run enterprise with complete control over every aspect of the process, Springfield Estate produces wines of consistently high quality.
Tickets are priced at £55 per person including four courses and Springfield Estate matching wines. The wine dinner will be starting at 6.30pm sharply.
