Join us on Thursday 3rd November, from 6 – 7pm for a special tasting with Castillo Perelada, one of Cataluña’s top estates.
Hosted by Patrice Lesclaux, Global Export Manager, the tasting will take you on an exploration of their Catalan vineyards, with a selection of beautifully diverse red wines which are crafted from the various terrains the Penedés are famed for. The wines tasted on the night will be: Reserva Cava NV, 5 Finques 2013, Finca Garriga, Cims di Porrera ‘V di Vila’ 2008 and Gran Claustro Cava 2011.
Perelada is one of Spain’s most dynamic wineries; family owned and run in the 14th Century Castillo Perelada, in the heart of the Denominació d’Origen Empordà. Perelada is one of Spain’s principal Cava producers, creating premium Cavas in the Alt Penedès region of Northern Spain. The estate also produces premium still wines in the small Empordà DO – 2,500 hectares, on the Costa Brava, which has become one of the most prestigious DO’s in Spain. Here, Perelada’s spectacular vineyards produce elegant, exciting and highly acclaimed wines, capturing the essence of the region.
Perelada also own another holding in Priorat, Cims di Porrera. ‘Cims’ is Catalan for ‘summits’ which reflects how the vines and winery sit at the summit of the Porrera village. The combination of unique black, slate soils, a rich variety of micro-climates and vines more than 100 years old, results in wines that are widely recognised for their exceptional quality.
Tickets are £35 per person, including some nibbles. After the tasting, guests are invited to dine at Plateau with a 10% discount.
